Ujamaa Puppies

We breed sparingly and carefully. Since 1981 we have had one to two litters a year. More recently- in additional to the occasional litter at home- this has been with the help of friends and family where a number of our dogs reside (thanks to Fran, David, Cat, Sarah, Sue and family!). Our home bred pups are well travelled by the time they go to their new homes as they travel between Mt Waverley and Marysville in Victoria, Australia. By the time they leave us they are well socialised and used to mowers, tractors and open spaces!

All parents are carefully selected and screened for any Hip, Elbow, Cardiac and genetic issues. The latter is a full DNA profile from Orivet which includes the parental status for Degenerative Myelopathy, Epilepsy, Haemophilia and Early Onset Adult Deafness. We adhere to both the Codes of Ethics of Dogs Victoria and the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Victoria. Source number is RB122166
